Over an average year the Chorale promotes three major concerts in central London, giving work to many professional singers and orchestral players and enabling us to promote Welsh music and performance in the capital, as well as giving enormous pleasure not only to the Chorale's members but also to our audiences. We are enormously proud of what the Chorale has achieved over the years and look forward to continuing to promote the joys of choral singing for the London Welsh community and our many non-Welsh friends and supporters in the years to come.

However, everything the Chorale does costs money. To give an idea of how much it takes to put on a concert - £500 is the average concert fee for a professional conductor; £300 is the average concert fee for a professional soloist; and £100  for a professional orchestral player. Even a sell-out concert rarely covers the cost incurred in putting it on.

The Chorale is a charity and relies on subscriptions from members, ticket sales and the generous support of our friends to continue putting on concerts of the highest standard. The Chorale welcomes any support members of the public, businesses and friends are able to afford in covering these costs.

We invite you to join our Friends Scheme!

There are three different types of Friends Membership:

The Chorale offers free tickets, free programmes and an acknowledgement of your support as Supporter, Associate or Benefactor in every programme.
